Malik Levon Cobb (born 03/04/1996 – 03/01/2020), known professionally as TTD Cobby, was an American rapper and song writer. Originally rapping under the names of Young Gwala and Cobby Hendrixx, the independent artist of almost a decade is most known as TTD Cobby, the General of Ten Toes Down “TTD” Gang and can often be seen gesturing the TTD hand sign and cheering TTD for Life, the now dissolved crew’s motto.
TTD Cobby performed and made a name for himself throughout WV and the DMV. A charismatic and energetic performer who loved being in front of an audience, mic and camera, TTD Cobby had dreams of making it mainstream and taking his “soldiers” with him. However after the independent release of his 6 track EP titled “Mika’s Son” 23 year old, Cobb died of an overdose on March 1, 2020, in his family home in Baltimore, MD.
Early Life:
Malik Cobb was born March 4, 1996 in Tucson, AZ, he spent his child hood years in San Antonio, TX, Alexandria, VA, Lanham and Landover, MD, He would later move to Martinsburg, WV, where he would attend his final 3 years as a student athlete at Martinsburg High School, running track and showcasing his football skills as a Martinsburg Bulldog, and securing 3 Class AAA state championships, which would lead to a full rider to Alderson Broadus, before scandal would ensue costing him his scholarship and returning him to Martinsburg, WV where he called home, and the current home of 2 of his 3 children.

Career:
Cobb developed as an artist in middle school, showing musical talent and a gift for freestyling, writing, recording and performing as early as 8 years old, by high school he had recorded most of his tracks on his laptop and phone and uploaded them to several streaming services, while managing TTD Gang, his independent rap career and releasing projects and songs, Cobb worked in construction, warehouse work and with several moving companies but was dissatisfied with the job. After attending the CIAA conference in NC around 2018, Malik returned fired up and focused with “Big Bag” a collab with Iamqzdamusicman in hand and began focusing on what would be his final project “Mika’s Son” a 6 Track EP, featuring “Big Bag” and “In My Feelings” an honest and emotion filled rap ballad that has become the anthem for the Cobb4Life community outreach and memorial initiative
Personal life:
Cobb had a history of drug abuse that began at an early age, and he spoke openly about his experiences in his music. His mother also believes that he was dealing with anxiety and depression on top of his battle with drug addiction, clarifying, that becoming a father young, balancing school, athletics and life while longing to pursue your dreams can be a lonely and fragile place even for an Iron Giant like Malik. In his last few months, Cobb had returned home to his mother and siblings in Baltimore, MD and spoke about wanting to “get his life together, be a better person and make a better life for his kids.” He is survived by his mother Mika, his sister Maiisha, brother Amadi and children Nicholas, Kingston, Malani and Makhi.

Cobb4Life is a vision created by Malik TTD COBBy’s mother and siblings who are eager to organize his musical works and share them with the world along with his story in hopes of preventing future Fentanyl & Opioid related deaths everywhere, especially within the entertainment, hip hop and rap communities and to discourage the direct and indirect glamorization of such drugs through music, social media, marketing and lifestyle.
